‘CutSat’ is an economical workflow to provide calibration to petrophysical models in the portioning and distribution of fluids within the effective and total pore volume systems. This workflow uses established analytical methods to quantify the types and amounts of fluids recovered from the rock under rigorously controlled laboratory conditions.

While this methodology works on any crushed rock sample (i.e. whole core, RSWC, and/or PSWC) – the real VALUE comes from application on drill-cuttings. Now your petrophysical model can be refined to honor the rock-based quantification of movable and immovable fluids within the wellbore utilizing materials already being generated.

Integrating these data with geophysical logs and/or distributed property volume extractions from geocellular models can greatly enhance your understanding of the variability and prospectivity within your target zones.

Furthermore, leveraging GeoMark’s 34 years expertise in geochemical analysis of subsurface fluids, and combining ‘CutSat’ with other GeoMark product lines will allow you to greatly enhance your understanding of the organic/inorganic matrix systems and the fractions of fluids that reside between.
