Source Rock Analyses

GeoMark Research Ltd. has opened s source rock laboratory in Humble, Texas. This new laboratory offers a full complement of source rock analyses, including the rapid measurement of total organic carbon (TOC), Rock-Eval Pyrolysis parameters, and thermal maturity. The laboratory augments GeoMark's analytical capabilities, and makes GeoMark the only petroleum service laboratory offering a complete line of geochemical services. Companies wanting source rock, standard oil and gas, and/or PVT analyses can now send their samples to a single laboratory. This will greatly improve analytical turn-around-time, and resolve what has been a logistical problem for well-site managers. The new laboratory will also offer analytical packages designed to assist in the assessment of Shale Gas wells.
