GeoMark has developed an Internet-enabled database for the storage, review and manipulation of all petroleum fluid analyses. The database is divided into a "closed" section for the storage of confidential reports, and a large "open" section for the storage of non-exclusive reports accessible to all participants. Participation will be limited to subscribing companies.

RFDbase currently has modules for the following data types:

Oil Analyses
Gas Analyses
Source Rock Analyses
Seep Analyses
Extract Analyses
PVT Reports
Mud Gas Isotope Analyses
Flow Assurance
BASEn
Water Analyses

The RFDbase program has a number of functions in addition to the ability to store and maintain all analytical petroleum fluid reports. The search and mapping interface may be used to search for specific fluid studies or to locate similar fluids (based on geochemical and bulk characteristic classifications) in different geographic regions. These "similar" fluids may be further utilized in estimating fluid properties or parameters and in linking to commercial or in-house simulation programs. Download an RFDbase Proposal

:: OILS & GOMOIL
Through the OILSTM (Oil Information Library System) and GOMOIL (Gulf of Mexico OILS) databases GeoMark provides access to over 9,000 crude oil geochemical analyses. The database contains bulk characteristics, GC, GC/MS biomarker, and stable carbon isotope measurements. Every analysis was performed at GeoMark, thus insuring analytical compatibility.

:: GAS & GOMGAS
GeoMark currently maintains two separate gas analysis databases (Global and Gulf of Mexico) that hold a total of 13,000 gas analyses worldwide. Many of these analyses have both compositional and carbon isotope measurements. Both of these databases are accessible via the RFDbase website.

:: SEEPS
GeoMark identifies seeps separately in both the OILS and GAS Databases. Over 1000 oil samples in the OILS Database and over 200 gas samples in the GAS Database are from collected seeps. These are indicated by symbol colors in the RFDbase website. These data are available via participation in the OILS or GAS Database, or by purchasing a customized BASEn report.

:: Source Rock Analyses
GeoMark has greatly expanded it's source rock database and now has a global coverage that is expanding rapidly with time. The Source Rock Module contains routine source rock measurements (%TOC, Rock-Eval, %Ro, etc.) as well as detailed measurements.

:: XTRAX
The XtraxTM (Source Rock Extract Analysis Database) is a complement to its existing OILSTM (Oil Information Library System) program. This database contains all the analytical and complementary data for a selection of source rock samples. All the extract biomarker and isotopic analyses have been performed by GeoMark, thus assuring compatibility to the OILSTM data.

:: BASEn
BASEn is an internet-enabled, basin specific database, for the storage, review and manipulation of all petroleum fluid analyses. BASEn allows participants to both choose the type of data needed and the geographical extent of the coverage. Thus, companies can acquire only the data of immediate interest without having to license all of GeoMark's global databases. In addition, participants in BASEn can have new samples analyzed and added to the database at a highly reduced price.

:: PVT
The PVT module is fully functional for the storage, review and manipulation of complete PVT reports. The database is divided into a "closed" section for the storage of confidential reports, and a large "open" section for the storage of non-exclusive reports accessible to all participants. This database stores all data in a standardized format for easy comparison of data, and also contains all reports in original formats.

:: Mud Gas Isotope Analyses
The RFDbase Database now has the ability to store Mud Gas Isotope reports on samples from drilling wells. Companies can store proprietary data, or use the "open" files in the Database.

:: Flow Assurance
GeoMark has performed a series of geochemical studies designed to establish a baseline understanding of flow assurance problems. These "problematic" studies were performed to investigate the relationship between different oil types (i.e. different source environments, thermal maturities, and degrees of biodegradation) and paraffin and asphalt stability. The results from these studies form the bases for the flow assurance module.

:: Produced Water Analyses
In North America GeoMark as compiled an excellent production fluid water database. Coverage is being developed in areas outside of the USA.
